Jonathan’s focus is leading patent monetization programs and delivering revenue to patent owners and inventors. As a former engineer and current patent attorney, he understands the combination of technical and legal issues that patent licensing requires. Jonathan’s experience includes managing IP licensing campaigns, overseeing IP litigation strategy and implementation, negotiating all form of IP transactions including licenses, sales and purchases, directing patent prosecution, managing IP investments, and managing corporate IP programs. Jonathan has negotiated over a hundred intellectual property agreements including license agreements and patent purchase agreements in a broad range of technologies including medical devices, software, telecommunications, and cameras. Before founding Endpoint, Jonathan started what is now IP Valuation Partners, and before that Jonathan was a Director of Patent Licensing at IP Navigation Group, and all together has led projects that generated millions of dollars in revenue for innovators.
Ryan is an experienced litigation attorney with a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas and a law degree from Southern Methodist University. He began his legal career at Fulbright & Jaworski before moving to Nelson Bumgardner Albritton, where he focused his practice on representing patent owners in patent litigation. Ryan has represented patent owners in matters involving many different technologies, including telecommunications, internet security, medical devices, vehicle suspensions, and optical devices. Recently, he represented Cellular Communications Equipment LLC in a five year litigation and licensing campaign involving a portfolio of more than fifty cellular standards-related patent families. One of the campaign’s highlights was a jury verdict of willful infringement against Apple.
